Dr Arun Ratnavadivel

Dr Ratnavadivel is a Specialist Anaesthetist currently employed as a Visiting Medical Officer at Nepean Private Hospital, and on staff at Nepean Public Hospital. His undergraduate medical degree was obtained from the University of Otago, and subsequent specialist anaesthetic training undertaken in Dunedin and Christchurch in New Zealand.

His areas of clinical interest include giving anaesthesia for urology, neurosurgery, and major gastrointestinal surgery. He has a particular interest in day surgery anaesthesia providing the latest techniques to ensure patients are able to be discharge on the same day feeling comfortable without significant discomfort, nausea or vomiting. His non-clinical interests at Nepean Public Hospital include teaching 3rd year medical students from the University of Sydney critical care. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
